🎨 UCA BA Fine Art student Steph Parrack is currently using her work to explore emotions by looking at both gestures and facial expressions of a person, as a response and reaction to a situation. ✍️ Practising using biro on a larger scale is allowing Steph to experiment with tone, detail and also the intimacy of the piece itself in a different manner to her usual smaller-scale work. This piece will eventually come together to form a full profile. Steph said "The inspiration of my work currently comes from the current experience of minimising contact. Wanting that engagement with other people, whether it be family, friends or strangers. I chose to work on paper to highlight the fragility of this situation and working in biro reflects on the having to accept change, and perhaps things that do not go how they are planned out, for what it is."
