UCA BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion and Imaging student Karolina Burinskyte uses portraits to show people's real beauty. Karolina said "I was always truly drawn to embracing the realness of people, their emotions and sensuality. True beauty always lies within people, so taking portraits allows me to show so much more than outer beauty - if the portrait is successful, you could sense at least a fraction of a person's personality through it. I also believe that my photographs carry and show a part of my soul too. I definitely take a lot of inspiration from Peter Lindbergh's @therealpeterlindbergh work - he treated his models not like beautiful bodies to put clothes on and then take photos. He embraced the personality and character of the model and that way the clothes were alive too and could communicate so much more. After all, the model is not just a mannequin. I truly admire that idea and in the future, I plan to apply this to my work too."
