UCA BA (Hons) Glass graduate Beth Gates Glass utilises the ancient craft of glassblowing as a method of artistic expression; exploring shape, form and bright contrasting colours developed from a variety of influences. Beth’s work is about pushing the boundaries of glass as a material to best depict soft intersections between the sky and the land, the patchwork colours of fields, to the changing tones of fauna and flora. Beth's work is currently exhibited at Chalks Gallery in Lymington, which is run by another UCA graduate, Rosie Wesley. Chalks Gallery is family run and also exhibits work other UCA graduates, including Sigi Hill, Rebecca Rowland-Chandler, and Charlotte Willbourne Cwillbs Cards.
