8 of our Television Production students were able to work on the @FIFAe Club World Cub finals organised by The eSports Company. The students worked from home to support the broadcasting team. They were provided with and trained on the streaming software Grabyo (a remote broadcast production tool) allowing them to access gaming feeds from all over the world. With matches organised and occurring live for 3 days in 6 different global zones, students were responsible for Producing/Directing the vision mixing, allowing fans to follow their preferred games. This involved console and camera feeds, as well as live competition graphics, layouts and holding slides. Two of our 3rd-year students, Sara Jeffry and Carla Buckingham, even had the opportunity to work on set at Maidstone's Studio 2 (a 6000sq ft HD broadcast facility) from where the tournament was anchored.
